Cosmopolitan magazine editor-in-chief & author Kate White was the guest speaker at the Fort Lauderdale LitLunch. At this lovely luncheon she spoke of her career journey which began at Glamour magazine and how one day she decided to follow her “back pocket dream” of being an author. Kate White is a New York Times bestselling author and was promoting her latest mystery novel So Pretty It Hurts.

Literary Feast – LitLUNCH! at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Pier Top Lounge which benefited the Broward Public Library Foundation.

FASHION: Fitting for NBC LIVE MIAMI at 11

Beauty hot spot in east Fort Lauderdale Fresh Beauty Studio was selected to be featured on the NBC morning show LIVE MIAMI at 11. The focus of the segment was on celebrity inspired current red carpet looks and to give viewers simple tips on recreating the looks at home. Naturally, owner of FBS Nikol Johnson reached out to LIVE-COUTURE to wardrobe style the segment. It was a great collaboration.

LIVE-COUTURE pulled gorgeous gowns from Saks Fifth Avenue at Bal Harbour Shops to dress Johnson and the models.

At Fresh Beauty Studio fitting one of the models for the NBC LIVE MIAMI at 11 segment.

Christian Louboutin signed hundreds of his coveted pieces for customers and took pride in each & everyone one of his autographs. Sharpie was his autograph weapon of choice with his “c louboutin” mostly signed in black with splashes of color highlighting certain letters. It was inspiring to see a man with that level of professional success putting such care in the details. ♥ and admire that.

On a shopping trip to Bal Habour shops, I met the President of Manolo Blahnik, George Malkemus. While in town, Malkemus was meeting Manolo customers and promoting the new collection. Something unique that was being offered was the opportunity to design your own Manolo Blahnik. Customers could choose a shoe style and customize it to their specific desires. From the exotic leather of your choice, to heel height, Malkemus explained how each detail was completely up to you. Now that’s luxury taken up a notch.
